Job Purpose
- Business Development & Client Acquisition:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, focusing on contract logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in pharmaceutical companies, medical equipment manufacturers, and healthcare organizations.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning within the medical and pharmaceutical logistics sector.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and technological advancements affecting medical and pharmaceutical logistics.
- Solution Development:
- Work with internal teams to design and propose tailored logistics solutions that meet the specific needs of clients in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, including temperature-sensitive products, regulatory compliance, and product handling requirements.
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure smooth implementation and service delivery.
- Contract Negotiation & Management:
- Lead negotiations on commercial terms, pricing, and service agreements with clients.
- Oversee contract execution and ensure that the terms of the agreements are met, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments such as operations, legal, and finance to ensure seamless coordination of logistics services for clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and strategies targeting the medical and pharma sectors.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, specifically in contract logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
- Prior experience in the medical or pharmaceutical industry is mandatory, with a deep understanding of industry regulations, handling requirements, and market needs.
- Skills:
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in the logistics or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop customized logistics solutions, with a focus on temperature control, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards, such as Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for pharmaceuticals.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
