Role Overview: As the Manager or Senior Manager, Contract Logistics Industrial Vertical, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of our contract logistics operations. This includes managing the P&L, developing and implementing strategic plans, and ensuring that the team achieves its goals while maintaining compliance with industry regulations. You will be expected to monitor performance, improve efficiencies, and drive continuous improvement in our contract logistics processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire the contract logistics team to consistently meet and exceed performance targets while fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
- P&L Ownership: Own the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the contract logistics business. You will be responsible for reporting and presenting monthly business updates, including revenue, costs, and overall performance to management.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for contract logistics operations. Align initiatives with business goals to drive growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Operational Oversight: Manage and oversee all aspects of contract logistics activities, including inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution. Ensure seamless execution and high operational standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness. Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all contract logistics activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and ensure the team follows best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery. Promote a culture of innovation and encourage team members to contribute ideas for process enhancements.
- Overdue Account Management: Own and manage the overdue statement of account process, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding balances.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, with at least 5 years in a managerial role focused on contract logistics.
- Proven track record in managing P&L and driving business performance.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse team.
- Excellent understanding of contract logistics, supply chain operations, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in relevant logistics software and tools.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
