Job Purpose
- Responsible for leading and supervising lifting team member to complete every lifting project on time within budget and scope and ensure the desired result is achieved.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct site survey and engineering study to facilitate the formulation of a lifting plan with engineering calculations.
- Ensure crane and lifting gears arrangements are as per engineering drawings.
- Coordinate and undertake the lifting activities are performed in accordance with lifting plans and safety guidelines.
- Supervise setting up of all the crane and lifting gears.
- Ensure routine inspection and maintenance of crane and crane equipment (i.e. lifting gears, condition of crane)
- Ensure adequate amount of lifting gears/outrigger plates in accordance with lifting plan.
- Ensure lifting gears to be used are inspected and in good conditions.
- Ensure all equipment utilized for operations are ready and thoroughly checked prior to deployment for operations.
- Conduct area inspection prior to lifting operation, set up barricades at lifting area to ensure safe operations.
- Brief all lifting team member i.e. crane operators, riggers and signalmen on the Lifting Plan, risk control measures and safe lifting procedure before the commencement of any lifting operation.
- Arrangement and supervision of workers to ensure efficiency and quality of work done.
- Execute and supervise lifting operation whenever need.
- Ensure every lifting operation is carried out in safe and orderly manner.
- Ensure instructions given by direct supervisor or manager are being followed.
- Oversee proper housekeeping upon job completion.
- Carry out any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by higher management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous heavy lifting supervisory experience preferred.
- Well verse in load charts as well as the crane specification.
- Ability to organize and coordinate effectively and efficiently.
- Have strong leadership and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and schedules.
Working Conditions
- 5.5 Working days per week but may be subject to O/T and working during weekends and holidays.
- May need to travel out of Singapore occasionally.
- Mandatory wearing of appropriate PPE when on duty.
Physical Requirements
- Must be physically fit.
- Able to withstand long hour of work with extensive body movements.
